Pandemic?

Great. Sr. Helena just informed me that the bug I seem to have is one she has already had three rotations of. And it started with a visit by a cousin from Ireland. So we have now introduced a new strain of virus to the continent. And I get to be in the first wave of victims. (Pray for my immune system to kick in!) (Mom sent a "Whole Foods" gift card; hopefully I'll use it today for some chicken soup.)

Have you tried probiotic yogurt? The literature on it states that most of your immune system is in your GI tract and this live probiotic culture helps keep the machine in top shape. I've been drinking one every morning on the way to work for several months now. I've been working 60+ hours a week with crazy, irregular hours and very little sleep and I haven't crashed yet.

Vitamin D is great for boosting the immune system. More and more is being discovered about this lowly vitamin.

Ever hear of sunshine vitamin D? Take my backyard. It is bathed in sunlight and a large swingset beckons. It just happens to be in New Orleans. Y'all come. spqr
