Good to see scenes of my new (old) home...back in Stone Mountain from a series of successful Mission Appeals in Baton Rouge and Donaldsonville...plus a good visit with family and friends in Lafayette and New Orleans. Sadly we lost Father Philip Lamberty, OP a longtime friend and champion of my late vocation...he was sent to glory by some 50 or more priest concelebrants and many friends at St. Dominic. It was my first experience buring a brother priest and quite moving. Returnig to Georgia I was amazed at how many people actually missed me...it only makes leaving here that much harder, but I am also excited about coming to Chicago and beginning my new ministry at the National Shrine of St. Jude...ETA:Friday, September 5, 2008. See you soon...and ask your readers to pray for me! Father Fred, CMF

God Bless You, Father Fred. I hope to see you if I can find my way back to Michigan Avenue. St. Jude is fortunate to have you.
