Looking for stem cells in all the wrong places
An article in today's Wall Street Journal noted that the FDA is beginning the approval process for medicines derived from embryonic stem cells. Interestingly enough, I just read online that researchers in Australia have found stem cells in breast milk.

Stem cells in breast milk information came just in time for me to pass on to my expectant daughter. What a wonderful headstart in life.
Hindsight makes me wonder if my children would have turned out to be even more perfect if I had chosen to breast feed. I think not.

From what I've read, the FDA is in discussion with biotech companies about developing a process to *test* treatments based on embryonic stem cells. This means that they are years and years away from any possibility of beginning the approval process by which these products would be offered for sale.
Tests of an embryo-derived treatment for Parkinson's disease were done some years ago to horrifying results and we do not yet know if embryonic stem cell research will end the same way.
