Best Catholic Books for KIDS

Now it's my turn to pontificate about books--in this case, Catholic books for kids. Be sure to "comment" with your own childhood favorites. And if your childhood didn't include any Catholic books, "ecumenical" contributions are also welcome!

By the way, all the books I mention can be found in our Pauline centers. (This was "filmed" in our Chicago children's corner.)

My own childhood favorite was a huge book of saints, a 1960s version of "57 Stories of Saints". I received it in the second grade and I would guess that my father bought it when the Daughters of St. Paul from Bridgeport, Connecticut visited his grocery store.

Yay! I'm so glad that you posted this! As the mother of two, I'm going watching it carefully.

BTW, I was at the St. Louis PBM last week looking for a book for my son. My two year old daughter marched over to the shelf and picked up your book to "read." I bet you never expected to be a hit author for toddlers!
