Dial-up

By the way, here at the retreat house, Internet access is quite limited. We are all sharing one dial-up line. Makes it hard to keep the usual lines of communication running! I will try to enter one more post before retreat begins tomorrow evening. I have your intentions and have already prayed for them at Mass; send more in! And pray that this upcoming week of prayer and silence may really be characterized by grace and correspondence thereto!

One more special intention -- for Linda who has breast cancer that metastasized to her liver and bones... Things are not going well right now as she has an unexplainable fever and her white blood cell count is very low... She's still working on conquering the cancer, but this episode is extremely hard on her. May grace fill her!

Hi, Sr. Anne,
Please pray for families, husbands, wives, and children, who experience abuse, physically and mentally, that they may have comfort in God's love and mercy, the thought of Heaven, and being forever happy with Him.
I always loved St. Thecla's Retreat House. I miss the silence, the glorious atmosphere of prayer. Count your blessings as we don't have that luxury of retreat and the quiet and being totally absorbed in God.(sigh)

My prayers are with you and the sisters. I understand you have hectic lives but I know you have the opportunity to step back every day and be with God in a special way.

Thank you so much beforehand for your prayers!!

I have two intentions. First, that my daughter, Catherine, will return to the practice of the Catholic faith. Second, that a complex, sad situation in my parish will be resolved without acrimony.

P.S. Thank you!

I have two intentions for which I would ask you to pray.

1. That my children would return to the practise of the Faith.

2. That Australia would have many many more vocations to the priesthood and that our priests would be Faith filled shepherds.

Sister,

I saw your comments at the Some Have Hats blog. I worked with Fr. Hardon for the last few years of his life. I know some people involved in gathering testimonials about his life. Once you get out of retreat, if you're interested, please email privately and I can forward your information to those involved, or give you information about how to contact directly.
