Switcheroo
I've wanted to create a custom header for the longest time. Something, well, ironic. It's still in process (the coding was the hardest part, so far). Reactions? Suggestions? Preferences? Coding tips for some of the weird things I can't seem to fix--like the cut-off widget from the Vatican, the extraneous bits of code that are out there (I can't find them in the template), the fact that whether I float:right or left or $startSide the sidebar stays to the left? I'm wide open here for input and help!

It's very cool, and I love your subtitle. But, I know nothing that would be of help to you, Sister.
Whoa, that's so cool!! :D Nice job on the header!
Sister, I like the new header!! The only comment is the shadow effect combined with the white backgroud can make some if it get lost, like part of the "g". Have you considered a different but complimentary background color?
As for the Vatican widget, I'm not familiar with it, but some widgets have fixed sizes. It may just be that the widget it too wide for the sidebar. Look at any setting options for a size parameter, but my guess is that you will not find one.
Good luck and God bless!
The header seems to grand. I agree with Carlos about the shading. Blessings!
Anon, do you mean "grand" as in "too big" or as in "too grandiose"?
Au contraire, I love the new "here I am" approach. Formerly the small "nunblog" appeared to me to be almost self effacing. The bigger the better. Keep up the great work.
I like it. It reminds me of your penchant for medieval music. It's coming up fuzzy on my PC, though.
