Doomsday alert!

I was turning onto Michigan Avenue on my way to choir practice last night when I saw a sign that should have made me turn right back home. After all, there is no need for me to practice the music for Sunday's Mass if Judgment Day is going to be Saturday.
Of course, the poor souls who wake up on Sunday morning unraptured are really going to need prayers (and a dose of Catholic eschatology).

I'm being optimistic and going out of town for the long weekend. But perhaps I won't come back . . . :)

Well, hopefully we'll see each other in the clouds...

As a kid (in the 1960s) my pastor always opened his homilies with a quote from scripture and one of his favorites was "you know not the day nor the hour". I do believe that the moment may come when we least expect it and we can expect that moment to come for each of us -- none of us gets out of here alive.

I have to wonder what that preacher will speak about on Sunday, I am supposing he should not have a sermon ready. unless he desn't believe his own Prophesies.

Great. That should give me time to use those gift certificates for a manicure and pedicure
