in case you were wondering...

I'm still pretty hobbled by the effects of that seemingly uneventful slip on the ice in Saint Paul (Saint Paul, of all cities!) last week. I'm getting around using crutches as ski poles to take some of the pressure off my back, praying on the living room floor with an ice pack on my back and generally avoiding anything that involves sitting. Like using a computer. (Believe me, this little spate is going to end really soon.) And I keep trying to "offer it up," as often as I think of it! Meanwhile, my sisters, Mary and Lea Ann, are enjoying the city, sometimes with me, sometimes...with me still on the ice pack while they take on the Magnificent Mile and the Great Green River.
Hope to be MUCH better by Monday.

Certainly they would rather be with you. What sacrifice God is asking of you...and them, too. I will add my own suffering and prayers for a quick recovery for you.
Peace...

Sister, I fell down my stairs two weeks ago and really hurt my back. The nurse said to use ice for 48 hours, then a heating pad after that. Maybe that will help you too.

Have you tried the Chiropractor? If not, I suggest it. It can provide real relief and ensure that the out of place vertebra don't cause additional unseen damage later on.

Blessings,
Lisa

Murphy's law in play for someone who didn't need a slip on the ice! Lots of prayers for a full recovery and some time with your sisters in the City with Big Shoulders (better to carry you).
