Guess where my prayers are tending? Funny how small New Orleans looks, but that marker is on my Mom's house, so it's pretty big to me.
Things this big, so phenomenally out of human control, can be really good reminders that we depend on God all the time, not just when confronted with massive storms. (In a way, I was tempted to think people were better off before storm tracking and satellite images!)

We are with you in prayer! We've been bouncing back and forth much of the day between CNN, MSNBC, TWC, and a few news stations in between. It's such an odd experience to sit and wait and wonder. But know that you are not alone in your waiting and praying!!!

And yet, before all the technology, we had Nash Roberts who was ALWAYS right with his unsophisticated tools and his black marker. He knew weather and he knew New Orleans. I am with you, concerned, yet leaving it to God' hands...but I made sure to let God know MY plan...I will be shutting down this computer tonight so that it can be put in the car...I will check from time to time on the road to Chicago, so keep in touch...
One more time, God, protect our City, our family and our friends...
