The figure in the picture was probably Peter, although none of the invitees stayed awake. Many of us have done likewise.

It's most likely Peter, not only because Peter, James and John fell asleep (!) on the job, but because the Gospel explicitly states that Peter had a sword. Remember how he used it, attempting to lop off the head of the high priest's slave, but managing only to sever the ear? Jesus told him, "Put your sword back in its sheath," and then healed Malchus, the slave before being arrested and bound himself.
