From all that I've read, this is not a movie: it's a retreat. Two and a half hours of footage with no script, no musical soundtrack. Just the purity of the witness of the monastic life of the Carthusians. It is only showing in 32 cities; here in Chicago, the Music Box theater was only going to have it for one week, but (by popular demand!) it has been held for another week, so we are all going on Monday for the 4:20 showing. This is one of those movies that you HAVE to see in the theater. So if it is showing in your area, do not hesitate! Make that spiritual retreat.
