I am very glad that they choose Jacquelyn. For some reason I like it better.

It's funny to hear someone else having the name Winifred. That was my beloved Grandmother's middle name. God bless.
JacquelynAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8950714.post-47743241339748660962008-01-27T08:32:00.000-06:002008-01-27T08:32:00.000-06:00re Demetrios MAGNIFICENTISSIME?re Demetrios MAGNIFICENTISSIME?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8950714.post-30486181221779672782008-01-27T07:39:00.000-06:002008-01-27T07:39:00.000-06:00My daughter had the opportunity to choose a patron...My daughter had the opportunity to choose a patron saint for her confirmation yesterday. She chose "Demetrios" which was quite foreign to our Irish-German ears. Asked why she picked that martyr she said, "He was defiant and so am I. He stood up for Jesus and so will I."

I wonder how Mother Paula would have reacted to that!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8950714.post-82127615614733332872008-01-26T19:17:00.000-06:002008-01-26T19:17:00.000-06:00What's in a name...That's okay if you did not and ...What's in a name...That's okay if you did not and Mother Paula did not like my name. I don't like it either and I had no choice. I’m not sure who decided on names, but her comment was “to holy of name for a mere human”. So she was given Donna Marie as her name. Now people think of a rock star when they hear Madonna! Times have changed!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
